Study Abroad Service Programs

The Study Abroad Office, located in the Levering Hall Annex, is the place to begin the process of taking a semester to study abroad. Please consult with them before beginning any study abroad program search.

Offers semester-long, summer, and spring break programs; community-driven service 

-Minnesota Studies in International Development (MSID)- http:// umabroad.umn.edu
Semester- long, offers a six week internship with a local NGO in Kenya, India, Ecuador, or Senegal

-The International Partnership for Service-Learning and Leadership- http://www.ipsl.org/
IPSL programs integrate academic studies with volunteer service and full cultural immersion to give students a deeper, more meaningful study abroad experience. 

Many programs such as CIEE, and SIT, offer study-abroad expereinces which include volunteer experience (clicking these links will take you to the programs that meet this requirement).

Alternative Break Programs
